Two brands, one passion
Visit nowGoodyear-welted shoes last for years, but only with regular care. In every shoe’s life there comes a time for minor repairs. Scratches, dings, and dents are an irritating fact of life, and they accumulate with time. Luckily, you can use Famaco repair paste to conceal scratches as well as worn patches. Simply apply the repair paste to the damaged area, let it dry for 15 minutes, and then polish. Voilà: now you won’t be able to see the damage without a microscope.
Famaco’s high-quality repair paste is designed not bleed onto any materials that shoes might come into contact with after the paste has been applied. The paste is also very malleable; it doesn’t split or crack when the shoe is being worn. However, severely damaged shoes should still be brought to a trusted cobbler. Famaco repair paste is excellent for treating minor wear and scratches, but it’s no replacement for a cobbler’s craftsmanship.
One of the many advantages of a Goodyear-welted shoe is that its entire shoe sole can be easily disassembled—this makes it a lot easier to repair than a regular shoe.
Once it’s been applied to leather, repair paste acts like an invisible bandage. After it’s been carefully applied, allowed to sink in, and polished, it’s indiscernible—even as it’s concealing damage from the inside out. The paste doesn’t just ‘heal’ the leather; it also protects it from further harm.
