As part of the Patina Line, No. 5221 is distinguished by the primarily vegetable-tanned soft calf leather which graces the entire upper part of the shaft. This material is known for its suppleness, and is produced using a special vegetable tanning process that opens the pores of the leather and thereby makes the colours of subsequently applied dyes really pop. A hand finish lends these shoes a fascinating antique look, acting as another visual highlight. The toes and the heel cap are noticeably darker and contrast with the other sections of the shaft.
